There are several ways to get clients.
The main concept here is to reach more people with less cost. It will be more effective if we could show our products to customers where they are visiting usually or else regularly.
Social media plays a role in achieving our objectives. Say Instagram, Facebook or snapchat, people use the platform for their own interaction with friends or community, we leverage this interaction and pay these platforms to show our products to our customers who are interested in our products.

Google Ads (earlier Google AdWords) is more of a marketing strategy to make your products appear when the customer searches for such a product. This marketing strategy has been a bit costly compared to social media marketing but it is great when marketing products related to e-commerce and specific market niche as of my experience in Google marketing is concerned.

For a startup or any business, money can be spent easily, there are people who claim them as specialised in these marketing jobs and also there are these marketing books and blogs, they all help you to spend money but very few help you earn money through marketing.
You should have knowledge as what is happening and which path to choose before you start marketing or let allow someone do the digital marketing for you.
In the end, marketing is more like a gamble. There is no perfect or right way to do marketing, it’s all based on conscious decision and experience sometimes a bit of common sense.
